Story
Carlisle Adventist College is raising funds for the ADRA Connections Trip to Cambodia in November 2024, supporting the Best CHOICES project.
Best CHOICES supports vulnerable families in 50 communities in rural Cambodia, where people endure the harsh realities of poor maternal and child nutrition and child exploitation. In the financially insecure Pursat Province, where exploitation for labour is rampant, the project equips participants with the knowledge and resources to make safe decisions about labour migration, personal health, non-communicable diseases, hygiene, waste management, and livelihoods.
During the ADRA Connections trip, students will participate in various health-promoting activities, such as building latrines, hand-washing stations or other sanitation facilities, assisting families with their home gardens, participating in learning-through-play kids clubs and school programs.
